Vegan Choconana Cream

The other night, in a rare moment for me, I was craving something sweet and chocolate, so I took to Facebook to ask my friends for suggestions. While their suggestions were delicious, I didn’t have the ingredients to make them, so in a brief moment of epiphany, I came up with this:

Vegan Choconana Cream

INGREDIENTS
1x chopped frozen banana
1x chopped fresh banana
1x heaped teaspoon raw cacao/cocoa powder
1-4tbl unsweetened almond milk
4 sliced strawberries
1tbl chia seeds

DIRECTIONS
Place banana, cocoa and 1tbl almond milk in a blender and whiz for at least 2 minutes until smooth. Add more almond milk if needed. It should resemble a thick chocolate custard.
Pour in your serving dish, and top with strawberries and chia seeds.

This dessert is on the bitter side (perfect for a dark chocolate lover), is easy to make, free of sweeteners, gluten, grain, dairy and egg, and is delicious! It only takes a couple of minutes to whip up and perfectly satisfies a sweet tooth.
