This past weekend, Blake and I finally set off on what was my first ever real (read: not at a caravan park or music festival) camping trip. To give you a bit of history, part of me is a country kid, with half of my childhood living in a small town in North East Victoria. My Mum has a fireplace that I always volunteer to light, and I’ve been to many a bonfire each winter as a teen. It’s not Miri’s… it’s mine! Miri’s Chocolate Orange Smoothie Recipe

I’m happy to admit, when I make a recipe I love, I always want to brag about it. Case in point, not only is this smoothie recipe delicious, if you can’t be bothered making it yourself, you can head down to Sun & Earth Organics, New Farm (my work), and I can make it for you, because I made such a big deal about it that we put it on the menu.

This recipe is great because the only thing sweetening it is the fruit and the tiniest bit of stevia in the protein powder, and the jaffa flavour comes from fresh orange zest, orange juice, and beautiful, raw cacao powder.

I have proudly converted choc-orange non-believers to this smoothie and surprised many a sweet-tooth by how yummy this is, with absolutely no additional sugar.

Best of all, you get to watch me make the recipe instead of reading it – it’s super easy, I promise!

Miranda Makes:: Golden Turmeric Chai

I am so excited! I’ve worked on this here video for a good couple of weeks, overcome a few technical difficulties and made a few things creatively that I never have before. It’s a bit rough, you can hear all the background sounds (planes, birds, cars), there are watermarks I can’t get rid of and I had to correct a few things that I forgot while filming, but I’m proud. It’s done! And I think you might just love it!

I know it’s not Game of Thrones, but at least while you wait for that, you can take 10 minutes to enjoy my new format/intro. And I’d love to see you make the recipe! It truly is delicious, and simple to boot.

Refreshing Citrus Earl Grey Iced Tea

Its no secret that my favourite tea in the history of tea, is Earl Grey.

My Mum always has a box of it hand just for when my sister and I go to visit, I rave about it so much, I’ve been known to inspire others to venture into the world of Earl Grey tea (especially French Earl Grey) and I’ve got some friends that keep a box handy for when I pop by. My purse constantly has a strong scent of bergamot because I insist on carting bags of earl grey around, just in case, and most birthdays and Christmases I’m given some variation of T2’s French Earl Grey products (my special occasion tea). Ask Mira:: Miranda’s Big Smoothie Guide

Oh boy, have I had an absolute plethora of requests for this from you guys! And it makes me so chuffed! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed me testing out some smoothie recipes this week. Its actually stimulated a lot of motivation for me, so thank you for that!

I’ll start this all off with a very detailed request from Ainslie, sent via Facebook:

“Hi Miranda, how are you? I need some inspiration from you please 🙂 I really struggle eating in the mornings, it makes me feel really ill when I eat so I’m looking into having smoothies for breakfast so I’m getting something rather than skipping breakfast all together. Do you have any recommendations on good smoothie recipes that will give me everything I need and really help to boost my metabolism? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks 🙂
